Can owners and holiday guests have different rules?
Yes. Each SSID or VLAN carries its own policy, so owners, holiday guests, staff and park systems each get the rules that suit them. Policies can also change by time of day, so the guest network can tighten in the evenings.
Will it slow the WiFi on a full August weekend?
No. Blocking ads and trackers removes traffic, so pages load up to 500% faster and use up to 44% less data, in Purple's own measurements. That matters most when the whole park is online after dinner.
Do we need hardware across the park?
No. Point your router, firewall or DHCP at Shield and the site network is covered, from reception to the furthest pitch. Add a relay where barrier or CCTV VLANs need each device's internal IP. Guests install nothing.
What happens if Shield has an outage in peak season?
Shield runs on a dual anycast DNS network, so if one node or network fails, the next one answers. It fails closed, so an outage never leaves guest or park networks unfiltered. Your firewall stays in place, with Shield as a layer behind it.
Can children get round it with a VPN app?
One-click app blocking covers VPN and proxy apps, so you can stop them on the guest network and keep Safe Search and family-safe categories in force. Owners' WiFi can allow them if you choose.
