Showroom WiFi customers trust, with the workshop kept safe behind it
Customers spend an hour in your service lounge on the WiFi while their car is in the workshop, sometimes with children. Shield gives that network a family-safe policy and strips ads so pages load faster. Behind it, diagnostic laptops, workshop tablets, telematics tools and the sales desks that handle finance applications run on threat-first rules, with a relay showing each workshop device by internal IP.

Finance paperwork on the desk

FAQ
Questions we hear from teams like yours
Will filtering block manufacturer diagnostic software?
Not if you allow it. Put manufacturer portals and update servers on the workshop allow list, and Shield answers them as normal. Drill-down shows each lookup a diagnostic laptop makes, so you can spot anything new before it causes trouble.
Can policy follow sales laptops off site?
No. Shield protects devices while they are on your networks, in the showroom, the workshop and every other site you run. Sales laptops away from them, at an auction or a customer's home, need the endpoint protection you already run. Back on dealership WiFi, they pick up your policy again with nothing to install.
Do we need hardware at each dealership?
No. You point each site's router, firewall or DHCP at Shield, with no appliance to install, and customers install nothing in the lounge. A dealer group sets one policy, then adjusts it per site, SSID or VLAN.
Does it help with PCI DSS for deposits?
It helps you meet PCI DSS rather than making you compliant. Card terminals and sales desks sit on a threat-first policy, Shield blocks phishing and malware at the lookup, and logs stream to your SIEM or syslog as evidence.
What about data protection for customer details?
Purple holds ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, GDPR and CCPA. Shield works on DNS lookups, so it sees which domains a device asked for, not what was typed into a page. Raw query logs are kept for 9 days. Admin access runs through single sign-on with Okta, Microsoft Entra ID or OIDC.
